Welcome from the Aquia Harbour Host LionsOn behalf of the Aquia Harbour Host Lions Club, it is an honor to welcome you to our website. Our club is dedicated not only to the mission of Lions Club International, but committed to supporting Stafford County and its needs. On June 20th, 1925, at our International Convention, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to be the Knights of the Blind. As the largest service organization in the world, most don't realize that her challenge to the Lions has focused our support towards sight conservation. Did you know that the Aquia Harbour Host Lions donated over $16,000 this year on eye exams and eye glasses in OUR community to help the less fortunate? Another club mission, inspired by one of Helen Keller's most inspiration quotes: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart." is service. Our club lives by this and focuses on "hands-on" service projects to support the local community. From delivering Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter Baskets, to our Special Needs Christmas Party, the Aquia Harbour Host Lions are PROUD to say WE SERVE Stafford, Virginia! If you have supported us in the past or plan to do so in the future, I humbly thank you! Please take some time to explore our website, learn more about our Lions Club, and consider visiting us during a fundraiser, service project, or dinner meeting. There is strength in numbers and we are always looking for like-minded people that want to give back to the community, but also enjoy the fellowship and fun our club provides. Again, THANKS for visiting our website and the club looks forward to our continued dedication and support to this wonderful community! |
